The Christian Lyon Collection is comprised of two unique assortments of designs each with a distinctly cosmopolitan point of view. The forms are rooted in a combination of inspirations derived from Christian's 30 years of travel on 4 continents. The Moderne component is a celebration of Deco inspirations. The forms are bold, projecting themselves in space with distinctly masculine energy. Metropole, on the other hand, explores a softer, perhaps more feminine, sensitivity, introducing more rounded edges and curves. The combination is expressed with a special awareness of cultural influences from a variety of traditions: Oriental, Occidental, primitivism and modernity; a celebration of human nature in the "Yin and the Yang" as Lyon expressed.

Executed in a variety of rich, expressive veneers, these assortments juxtapose a canvas of Celebes ebony and New Guinea walnut media, in the Modern pieces, with a backdrop of shimmering pearl japonica in the Metropole. All of the designs are adorned with special touches of ornamentation such as splashes of color in resplendent "carl finish", bright nickel jewelry, and expensive Italian marble.
