Matsuoka International is a premium artificer of exquisitely executed case goods, elaborated in impeccable finishes. All of our work is completed on a "made to order" basis. Meanwhile, in addition to standard designs, the company accomplishes custom case work in two categories:

• Variations on standard designs, and
• More complex specialized custom work for project applications.

(Upholstery can be customized by the selection of fabrics, or through minor changes in the covering of exposed wood, or the elaboration of arms. Christian Lyon upholstery can be ordered in any width. For Archival upholstery, dimensional changes are not possible at this time.)

Thematic Variations

Matsuoka International can readily apply variations to customize many of our case designs to meet your interior design requirements. With few exceptions, changes in dimensions, veneers and finishes can be accomplished quite readily. We support, in our standard inventory:

• A selection of more than 70 different premium veneers and cuts of exquisitely hand selected wood (if there were a wood which is not in our standard inventory, we can usually source it -production lead time then being contingent on availability from our source);
• Our standard supply includes the treasure of what is believed to be world's only working inventory of rare Celebes Ebony;
• Complemented by a supply on hand of tens of thousands of ornamental accoutrements, stone, precious metals and raw materials to meet demanding special order requirements.

Our price list details many variations on standard designs which have already been engineered, costed and priced. For other routine customization, depending on the degree of complexity and number of variations applied, we request at least one week for price quotation.

Custom Project Work

The company also has the capability to do special project work and personal designs on a case by case basis. It has been our privilege to collaborate with some of the world's finest furniture designers.

We accept these jobs dependent on the client's expressed requirements for turn around, available raw materials, and our open capacity at the time the project is considered. When we quote delivery, we do so based on the company's ability to meet the date stipulated. It is not acceptable for Matsuoka to make late delivery, therefore, we are very careful to be certain we have a mutual understanding with clients of what is implied in a project before work is committed to.

Depending on the number of designs required, units desired and complexity of the application, it can take two weeks or more to generate a quote for very special work.
